What specifically happened for your expectations to be exceeded dramatically and how did they separate themselves from your average experience?
How many people did you tell about this experience? Did it create a ripple through your social network and then again through your friend’s social networks by them broadcasting your experience?
When someone or something super exceeds an expectation it can kick off a tsunami of one of the best forms of marketing and for free – WOM! (word of mouth) Personal recommendations are really impactful.
You can apply that exact principle to yourself. In order to move ahead of the pack or stand apart from your competitors you need to be able to create a huge experience for people so you leave a lasting impression. Look to create ripples of excitement in your interactions. Create ambassadors for your personal brand, ‘YOU’, who will only be too happy to talk about you, your services or talents.
